David has amassed over 35 years of professional experience in Architecture, Interior Design and Project Management for major hotel, timeshare, and housing projects all over the globe. He brings that rare combination of great vision and design talent tempered by deep knowledge of real world constraints to create successful, memorable projects for his clients.
Prior to starting Studio in the U.S. for HBA International, David was the Executive Vice President of Design and Architecture at HFS Concepts 4 and oversaw the design and completion of 175 million dollars of hotel renovation for 38 hotels over an 18 month period for a major US REIT. David directed the architectural and interior design work of five offices for HFS worldwide. He was also Director of Operations for Design 1 Interiors, a Marina Del Rey firm responsible for the design of more Disney hotel interiors than any other design company in the United States during his tenure there. He directed all of Design 1’s U.S. and Asian operations and was responsible for over $500 million in hotel architectural interiors.
David’s extensive background enables him to direct and coordinate the services of architecture, interiors, and FF&E procurement offered by the firm and assist Owners with the establishment of project feasibility, phasing, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation to realize their final vision. David also plays the primary role in the development of new business opportunities for Studio HBA in the United States. He is actively involved in the design of every project Studio executes and stays with each project until completion when the owner’s vision is fully realized.
