Laurie Woliung, Sr. Design Director leads the Architecture and Interior Design team for the Marriott Distinctive Brands; AC Hotels, Aloft, Element and Moxy, directing the Distinctive program focused on managing, educating and influencing owners and design consultants on lifestyle projects, partnered with Brand to deliver design solutions that impart the brands’ design strategy. Prior to Marriott she held the position of Director of Hospitality Interior Design at BBGM Washington, DC, Sr. Director of Strategic Partnerships for Choice Hotels, and previously with Marriott as the Sr. Interior Design Manager for Renaissance Hotels. Earlier in her career Laurie owned her own design and construction firm supporting 35 design and production professionals she also taught Interior Design at the college level for ten years.  Her design expertise has contributed to the success of several projects including her involvement with Brand initiatives – The Marriott M Club Lounge and the Marriott Guestroom Design Strategy/MC2 – reimaging the Marriott Brand in the spirit of Marriott Modern.
